Our Canoe Hérault Montana rental base is located in the village of Agonès. You will therefore go canoeing in Ganges, Agonès, Brissac, Laroque and Saint-Bauzille-de-Putois, in the heart of the Cévennes. All you have to do is enter this address on the GPS to arrive at our car park: Monplaisir, 34190 Agonès.

We are only 25 minutes north of Montpellier, 30 minutes from Nîmes and Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, 40 minutes from Anduze and about 1 hour from seaside resorts such as Agde, Vias, Marseillan-Plage, Palavas-les-Flots or La Grande-Motte.

Yes. To take part in a canoe or kayak descent in the Gorges de l’Hérault, it is mandatory to know how to swim.

Participants must be at least 6 years old and able to swim 25 meters. Even if our courses are accessible, you are navigating on a natural river: safety remains essential.

With us, with every Hérault canoe or kayak rental, all the essential equipment is included.

You will receive a suitable safety vest, a paddle and a waterproof container to keep your belongings dry during your descent on the water.

Before departure, our team explains the route and the safety instructions to ensure that your adventure on the river takes place in complete serenity.

Children can take part in our descents from 6 years old, on the family course.

For more sporty or adventure routes, the minimum age is 11 years old, as the navigation is more dynamic with a few small rapids.

The difference is simple:

1. In a Hérault canoe, there are usually two people, with a single paddle. It is stable and ideal for a descent with the family or with children.
2. In a Hérault kayak, you are alone with a double paddle. The navigation is a little more dynamic and sporty.

On our rental basis , both options are possible according to your wishes.

We provide all the essential equipment: canoe or kayak, paddle, safety vest and waterproof container for your belongings.

For your part, we advise you to plan:

1. closed-toe shoes that can go in the water,
2. a cap or hat,
3. sunscreen,
4. water,
5. possibly a picnic.

The idea is simple: come relaxed, enjoy the natural landscapes and have a good time along the river.

The duration depends on the formula chosen:

• Family – 8 km : allow about 2 hours of paddling, plus time for swimming or picnic breaks. Ideal for a quiet outing with the children.
• Sporty – 7 km: allow 1h30 to 2 hours of navigation, or about 3 to 5 hours in total with the stops.
• Adventure – 15 km: about 4 hours of canoeing, with a full day to plan (6 to 8 hours on site).

Yes, some have small rapids and more playful passages.

The family course remains calm and accessible. Our sport and adventure canoe courses from Ganges offer some more dynamic sections for those who like a little more thrills.

Nothing extreme: the objective remains a pleasant and safe experience in our region of the Cévennes.

Yes, it is possible. However, in high season and in good weather, we can be full. People who have booked their Hérault canoe or kayak rental on our website have priority.

We offer several starting and ending points depending on the route chosen.

Each time, everything is organized simply: either the shuttle takes you to the starting point or it picks you up at the finish. The shuttle service is free and included in the rental.

You leave your car at the base, and we take care of the rest so that your canoe trip is stress-free.

Yes. You can picnic at the base, on our terrace equipped with tables, chairs and shaded areas.

Our bar is also open to enjoy a cold drink before or after your descent.

It is also possible to take a break on the small beaches along the route. We simply ask you to respect nature and leave with your waste.

For the canoe descent, it depends on the course and the conditions: do not hesitate to ask our team for advice before departure.

In summer, the water level is generally suitable for canoeing and kayaking.
